Transfer Opportunities
Four of the Psychology courses currently offered to HCCS students are included as part of the core curriculum requirements for both the AA (Associate of Arts) and AS (Associate of Science) degrees. These include Introduction to Psychology (PSYC 2301, Social and Behavioral Sciences cluster), Statistical Methods in Psychololgy (PSYC 2317, Mathematics cluster), and Multicultural Psychology and Psychology of Women (both in the Multi-Cultural cluster). Students can transfer credits for these courses to four-year institutions in Texas as part of the core curriculum, even if the receiving institution does not offer the specific course.
When considering opportunities for transfer, students
should seek information about the Psychology departments and programs
in which they are interested. The following website contains links to
Psychology Department home pages at colleges and universities around
the world:

advice.
