Tutoring

The Math Lab offers free tutoring to currently enrolled full-time and part-time students. Tutors are recruited from the current and former student population of HCC and the University of Houston. If you need tutoring, please sit in the designated area. Check with the Math Department at each College to determine the availability, location, and times of tutoring. Depending upon the Course, tutoring may be available on-line.

Computer Assistance
Each college has computer assistance provided by Academics, Student Services and Libraries for students.

MyMathLab
MyMathLab provides students with a personalized interactive learning environment, where they can learn at their own pace and measure ther own progress. Some but not all Math Departments have open laboratory sessions. These meetings are intended for reinforcement of material covered in previous laboratory exercises in Math courses. Check with the Math Department at each College to determine the availability, location, and times of open laboratory sessions.

Library
Each College has library resources to help students in all academic disciplines.

Financial Aid
This is handled by student services.

Scholarships
This is handled by student services and other organizations. However, there are scholarships for students wishing to pursue a career in various areas of science, that are funded by different Government agencies, are available. These are usually announced through fliers at different times during the fall and spring semester. Locally, the Houston Community College System has the Dr. Anthony C. Chee Scholarship fund for Math majors.
