Support Services
Tutoring in a variety of subjects including writing, math, science, history, psychology, Spanish and computer-aided drafting (CAD) is available at a number of campus sites throughout the Houston Community College System. Some of the colleges within the HCC System operate Learning Centers where individual one-on-one tutoring is available free of charge to any HCCS student. Tutoring in math, sciences (biology, chemistry, physics) and other subjects such as psychology, political science, Spanish, and CAD is often provided through individual academic departments as well as through the various Learning Centers of HCCS. Computerized tutorials in some subjects are also available at the Learning Centers. Type of tutoring services and tutoring hours vary according to campus. To determine what tutoring services are available on the campus you are attending, contact the campus Learning Center or, if there is none, check with your counselor.
