All 1400 and 2300 courses can be part of the core curriculum as Cross/Multicultural Studies and are transferable to any four-year language program in the country.

Starting in 2002-2003 school year, any Foreign language 1411 course can be taken to meet the Oral Communication requirement of the transferable core curriculum.
No one course may be used to fulfill more than one core category.

For example, Spanish 1411 can be used to meet either the oral communication or the cross-cultural category of the core curriculum.
