Student Activities
There is no Service Learning component to the AESL curriculum; however, some instructors involve their classes in a community service activity that is related to a unit in their courses.
Honors
Each college sponsors an Honors Program for students.
For more information, contact the Honors Director (see the list of directors
in the HCCS Course Schedule) at the college you are interested in attending,
or visit the Honors Program web site on the HCCS home page.
Co-op
The Cooperative Education Program offers students an
opportunity to work full- or part-time in a field related to their major
or career goals. See a Transfer Counselor at the college you are interested
in attending for more information.
Student Organizations For Students
Each college in the HCC system sponsors different
clubs, associations, and organizations for their respective student
populations. Many groups are formed by students who are studying the
same major; others serve as representatives for student government organizations.
