Students apply for admission before taking the placement test (see application deadline dates below). International students must have an I-20 issued by Houston Community College. (See below.)
2) When is the deadline for applications?
Deadline dates for application for each semester are:

4) What is the tuition?
Currently, out-of-state students (which includes all international students on student or visitor visas) pay $1632 for a 16-week term. (This is subject to change.)
5) What does the tuition include, and what does it not include?
The tuition includes a total of 320 hours of instruction, as well as all college fees.
It does not include books, health insurance, or living expenses.
6) When is the tuition due?
During early registration, tuition is due by a date announced in the course schedule. During the regular registration period, payment is due by the end of the day on which the student registers.
7) What type of payment do you accept?
Houston Community College accepts most forms of payment: cash, checks, credit cards (MasterCard,Visa or American Express). Students may also qualify to pay by installment (See the following page.) http://www.hccs.edu/System/EdDev/International_Students/costs.html
8) Is there a placement test?
New students are required to take the CELSA (an English proficiency test), and write an essay for a writing sample.
9) Where are the Intensive English classes at Houston Community College?
Intensive English classes are currently offered at the following locations: Gulfton Center (Southwest), Town & Country Campus (Northwest), Northline Mall (Northeast), and Eastside Campus (Southeast). See "About Us" to locate the campus near you.
10) When do classes begin and end?
