Developmental Education courses in English, Reading, and Math are college preparatory and do not apply to degree programs. As such, they do not transfer as credit hours to other institutions. However, HCCS does maintain an articulation agreement with several colleges and universities in our area which allow students who complete Developmental Education courses to accept these courses at their institution. This means that a student who completes his or her Developmental English requirement at HCCS does not have to repeat the courses when he or she transfers to another area school.
