English 0300 Fundamentals of Grammar and Composition I Sample Syllabus

English 0300 is an entry level course which provides the basic writing skills to address academic composition. Students learn to use Writing Process to write formal essays and to address a variety of topics with multiple approaches. English 0300 also provides intensive address of writing at the word and sentence levels to ensure student competence.
English 0310 Fundamentals of Grammar and Composition II Sample Syllabus
Lecture 3 Hours Lab 1 Hour
English 0310 is an advanced course for students who already demonstrate writing skills sufficient to address complete and comprehensive use of Writing Process. Students develop multiple strategies for essay writing and the use of both persuasion and argument construction. While the focus of English 0310 is primarily at the paragraph and essay level, it does include address of word and sentence writing elements for revision and editing strategies.
English 0100 Sample Syllabus

English 0100 is a review course designed to provide additional writing practice for students who complete the developmental sequence but still need to meet THEA requirements. The format of English 0100 is that of the writing workshop. Students receive direct one-on-one instruction in writing essays which are specifically designed to meet THEA requirements.
