Engineering touches every aspect of our civilization. We are surrounded by marvels of engineering, from great building structures to the wonders of the Internet and nanotechnology. Engineering is a constantly-evolving field focused on finding solutions to present and future global problems. We welcome your interest in the engineering courses offered at Houston Community College, your convenient door to this challenging yet exciting discipline.

 

Courses in engineering, which include statics and dynamics, are offered in a conventional class setting with small class sizes. The statics and dynamics courses include a three-hour lecture and one-hour lab to assist students with developing problem solving skills and understanding fundamental concepts.

 

Based on Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board guidelines, these courses transfer to all Texas colleges and universities. Prior to enrolling at HCC, each student should contact the college or university to which they plan to transfer in order to determine the appropriate prerequisite or co-requisites. A college or university school of engineering my require an application or petition for course transfer.

 

HCC engineering courses are taught by highly qualified faculty with greaduate degrees in engineering. Many are registerd professionals currently working in on of several engineering fields.
