Are Biology courses transferable to other Institutions of higher learning?

Yes. General Biology 1 (Biology 1406) and General Biology 2 (Biology 1407) transfer to 2 and 4 year institutions of higher learning to satisfy the requirements for Biology and other academic discipline majors. In addition, Anatomy and Physiology 1 (Biology 2401), Anatomy and Physiology 2 (Biology 24020 and Microbiology (Biology 2420) provide the basic foundation courses for students considering entrance into different Heath Career and Sciences areas.

Why is General Biology 1 (Biology 1406) a prerequisite for other Biology courses?

Our experiences have shown that students who take General Biology 1 (Biology 1406) do much better academically in other Biology courses than those that do not take this course. It serves as a critical foundation course for our students.
